Problem: accurately nlarge previoulsy drilled hole?, I need to enlarge a hole in the edge of a wooden table. the table is 36" x 21" x 1.5" - too wide to fit on my table top drill press. the hole, which is on the 1.5" side is now 1/4" in diameter but i need it to be 3/8". the new larger hole must be centered pretty precisely on the old hole center and it must be perpedicular to the plane of the table side and parallel with the planes of the top. How drill 2⅛ door knob hole existing, Align the jig with the existing latch hole, and then use the larger hole to enlarge the bore of the main hole. do not try to enlarge the hole w/o the jig. your hole drill center bit won't have anything to bite into (since there's a hole there already) to hold it steady when the main cutting circle hits the woodproject and it'll slide all over the place..
